Super original find from Southwestern Missouri! This Model servedthe family'sKansasgrocery storewhen new and continued to staywith the family for 93 years! Remarkable tale not shared by manyvehicles today! Still is full operation having just been fullyserviced! What a treasure! Henry Ford continued to produceAmerica's affordable Model T at a rapid pace into the 1920's,averaging over 1 million units each year! The simplicity of thedesign, along with nine model choices to choose from, made Ford aneasy choice for budget conscience buyers. They consisted of aninline four cylinder 177ci L-head engine producing an estimated 20horsepower, two-speed planetary transmission, solid front axle withtransverse semi-elliptic leaf spring, live rear axle withtransverse semi-elliptic leaf spring on a 100" wheelbase, andtwo-wheel mechanical rear drum brakes. It is quite rare to evercome across a car that had stayed with the same, caring family fromnew. In the case of this very special 1923 Ford Model T Huckster,it did just that. For 93 years it was passed down among thegenerations after serving its early life as their grocery storedelivery truck and produce hauler! Hailing originally from Corona,KS where it was purchased new andserved the community VinardiGrocery Store owned by the Michael & Angelina Bushnell. It latertraveled to the neighboring State of Missouri where it remainedwith their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, andgreat-great grandchildrenuntil 2016! Since being retired fromservice, it was mainly prized as a priceless heirloom in a smallcar collection. Used primarily in local summer parades in CarlJunction, MO, located in southwestern Missouri just outside ofJoplin, it always saw annual exercise. Restored only as needed overthe years, it shares a telling story when looking over thecondition these days. It is fair to say that Henry Ford would beexceptionally proud! You will find only a few small parts replacedwith improvised parts, but the majority of the truck remainslargely even after all these years. Upon arrival to our facility,we opted to replace the brass gas tank sediment bowl/shut off valveunderneath the gas tank, drain all old fluids, rebuild thecarburetor entirely, replace the spark plug wires for brand new,add a fuel line petcock to the carburetor feed line under the hoodfor easier access, and completely rebuild the rear brake systemwith fresh shoes, springs, axle seals, mechanical rods, and allother necessary components. All parts receipts from Snyder'sAntiques Parts will be provided. The features on the car includecorrect, July 1923-date coded 201.5ci Inline 4 cylinder engine,cloth-covered wiring, planetary transmission, 12-spoke wood wheelswrapped in Wards Riverside 30 x 3.5" tires, closable doors, manualwindshield wiper on tilt-out front window, plated hubcaps, underhood horn, dash amperes meter, and rear mounted spare tire. Itstarts and runs quite, well and we invite buyers looking forinteresting pieces for their collections to call with offers.Chances like this do not come around very often!
