I have purchased over 40 cars in my lifetime. Hands down the best car buying experience. Jon Faust is the BEST! Really helped me in a life long goal of buying a 62' Corvette for my Dad. This company truly cares and that's pretty rare in the car business. Thank you!!! (CLICK HERE to cruise photos & specs of Peter's Corvette)

I dealt with Jon Faust years ago (along with a lot of the other dealers around), and out of the lot of them Jon was one of the very few who were completely honest. He bought my Bentley and I bought his MGTC, a beautiful car which served me well for years and years. As I reach maturity and consider selling all or part of my collection, Jon is one of the few people I would call on to assist me. - Greg S. I wish to commend Mr. Jon Faust, General manager, St. Louis Car Museum, while providing excellent information during the negotiating process and the purchase of my 1937 Ford five window coupe.  Mr. Faust  was thorough and fair with his detailed description, thereby allowing me to make an informed decision.  Paperwork, including the wire transfer of funds, bill of sale, title, emails, phone calls, and shipping instructions were instrumental in the easy and understanding of the step by step process.   I felt comfortable while Mr. Faust explained the full biography of this vehicle and was knowledgeable of any nuances regarding this custom street rod.  No fast talk or high pressure to make a sale.  I was offered to see and drive this car, but did not believe it was necessary to consummate the sale.

I would highly recommend Mr. Faust, his talented staff and the St. Louis Car Museum to anyone in the market for a quality vehicle with no after thoughts.    Thank you for a job well done.   - George K.

In mid-October 2020, I purchased a low-mileage one-owner Black 1987 XJ-S Coupe from John Faust, the General Manager at St. Louis Car Museum. Since I live in the Boston area and traveling during the pandemic is difficult for me, I was not able to personally inspect the car prior to my purchase. John was incredibably professional and knowledgeable and went the extra mile to patiently answer the many questions I had, even sending me additional engine, cabin and underbody photographs I requested. John has an obvious passion for the classic cars in  the Museum's collection and it is my belief he carefully researches each vehicle before it is purchased. The follow-up was excellent. We negotiated a fair price and closed the deal. Additionally, and without exception, the post-sale staff was a delight to work with. I ultimately decided to leave the car in St. Louis over the winter, where it is stored in the Museum's climate-controlled space for a very reasonable monthly rate. I am looking forward to having the car shipped to me in the spring and will update this post when it arrives. But in all respects, I would not hesitate to buy another car from John Faust and the St. Louis Car Museum.

I purchased a classic BMW from Jon Faust at the St. Louis Car Museum, completely remotely as it was during the summer of 2020. I found Jon to be responsive, pleasant, helpful and reasonable throughout the process. He provided truthful answers to my questions about the car and went as far to have his team perform specific checks that I requested (e.g., alignment). He also supported my effort to have a third party Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) done at an independent BMW mechanic several miles away. He personally took the car to the mechanic and picked it up the next day. After the transaction, he arranged professional shipping of the car at a rate much lower than retail ($850 vs. $1,500) and got it delivered to me in the window of time that I specified. I have had the car for a month and have found it to be exactly as he represented it would be. I will likely not buy another super expensive classic car but if I did I would be comfortable working through Jon to do so.

I just took delivery of a beautiful 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster from Jon Faust and the great crew at St Louis Car Museum. This is the third collector car I have gotten from them. All three have been great cars honestly described and fairly priced. Jon and the folks at St Louis Car Museum are honest professionals and a pleasure to work with.

All the best, Ed

After a nearly 8 wk. process of looking for a fun car to celebrate my semi-retirement, I recently purchased an '80 Clenet from your organization. Let me compliment you. Your organization, at all levels, is as classy as the wonderful collectible vehicles you offer.

Dealing with Jon at every level was a pleasure, not a pain. Congratulations on your first-class operation and staff!" - Respectfully, Denis.

Hi, Jon, I have been buying collectible cars for over 40 years. I have purchased cars from Gateway Classic Cars, Mecum and GAA Auto Auctions to name a few. The buying experience of my 69 BuickGS 400 was a pleasure. You were honest, upfront and applied no pressure. The car was everything you had told me and then some. I am a retired police officer with 43 years of service and the best way I can describe my buying experience is trust. Trust has to be earned by deeds and actions and not by just saying "Trust Me". I can say that you have earned my trust and I would definitely buy another car from you. Thanks again, James

Mr Jon,

Thanks a bunch sir, appreciate all that you have done and such!!!! As I just chatted regarding the title delivery, yupper-do, the pony got delivered just fine yesterday...and I even 'got to' back-her-out of the trailer! (;-))

Here are a couple pix of the pony and the delivery truck, she is now all snug in my storage facility...and boy-oh-boy, I always knew that a red-ferrari was a chick-magnet....but on the trip around the-block to go get some gas in the pony, at 2-of-3 corners a lady commented 'nice car' - including a good-looking blonde driving a Cadillac Escalade.....I should have turned-around! (;-))   Ain't I a stinka? (;-))  Really, much as I'm not really (as I told you)  a red-car guy....that candy-apple red is striking in-person, pix don't do it justice!!!!

Anyway, thanx for your pic too, and if I can get somebody to take a pic of my ugly mug with the pony I will get that to you as well sometime!!! (;-))

Thanx again sir!!!!

Hey Jon, I finally have had the opportunity to summarize my experience purchasing a 2002 BMW Z8 from your St Louis Auto Museum. First, this is a very busy segment of the collector car market. More Z8s come to market daily with lower miles and higher values. Even with only 2500 made for the US market. You all had a great example and for the first time I wound up confident enough in the car and you I didn’t fly out for a look prior to shipping. It was a pleasure doing business with you Jon.  You are knowledgeable, professional and very inclined to find out a way to get your customer behind the wheel. The entire transaction went flawlessly all the way through delivery. Thank you for your assistance with this realization of a dream. I’ll call when I pull another sack of cash together.

Regards,
Ned H.

I just wanted to thank Jon Faust for making my car purchase very easy. Jon was very helpful in describing the car and sending any pictures I needed. He also arranged shipping for me. I had the car at my door in one week. I can highly recommend Jon and St. Louis Car Museum in purchasing a classic car!

Jon,

Thought you might like to read the review I posted regarding the purchase of the Ferrari 360. Thank you again for making it a smooth and stress-free transaction. Hope you have a great year!

“Every so often you come across a very professional, knowledgeable and down to earth sales representative that makes an impression upon you. My recent experience purchasing a car from Jon Faust of St Louis Car Museum & Sales is such an occasion. Keep in mind that I’m located in Spokane, Washington, which might add some challenges as the sale was completed over the phone/email. None of this posed a problem.

What really impressed me was the care taken to provide a very clear and objective description of the car I was interested in. Jon made sure to answer all my questions and provide additional details that only an enthusiast would appreciate…and I certainly did. He even provided additional pictures to follow-up on our conversations. Additionally, Jon was there to assist me throughout the sales process and even helped secure transportation to ship the car to my home. I felt comfortable and confident in working with Jon and really enjoyed the experience. How often can you say that about buying a car…lol.

When purchasing a car it’s not just the condition and price of the car, it’s the quality/integrity of the company and sale representative you’re dealing with. Rest assured that St Louis Car Museum & Sales made a great impression upon me, which is what motivated me to share my experience with you.”

Jon,

The delivery of my 1948 Lincoln Continental Convertible by Glynn of Showtime Motorsports LLC was excellent – and a day before originally expected! It arrived in Yakima, WA on a sunny, but cold November day with the convertible top down. It was unloaded in front of the local Lincoln dealership, so the general manager and staff took the opportunity and came out to see this beautiful car. I then drove it for the first time from the delivery point (with the top down) approximately 1.5 miles to my home where it is now garaged for the winter, along with my other classic car collection (8 counting the Lincoln).
I am very much looking forward to spring so I can begin showing this classic at several car shows both local and statewide – perhaps even in Oregon.
Thanks again, it was a pleasure doing business with you!

Dear Jon,

Thanks so much for helping me with my purchase of the 2006 Shelby GT-H. As this was my first collector car and my first auto purchase over the internet, I was somewhat nervous and a little leery.  However, you made the process reassuring, and ultimately easier than buying a car from a local dealer.  The car is beautiful, and a whole lot of fun to drive; I could kick myself for waiting so long to treat myself to my first sports car!
Thanks again,

Via voicemail…

Hey Jon, this is George F. calling to let you know that the Corvette came last night about 6 o’clock or so, and so I put it in the garage for the night and today I checked it over very carefully. Just came back from about a 25-mile little circle, and just so you know, I’m very happy and it is everything you said it would be. So I think you’re a man of integrity, and honesty and people can trust you. So I wanted to let you know that it’s all you said it would be. Uh yeah, the car cover, the battery charger, is here, 911 to 912 miles, we aren’t going to worry about that, so anyway, all in all, it’s a very professional deal. Job well done. So thank you very much, no need to call me back, I just wanted to kind of close the transaction, so thanks, goodbye!

It has been a pleasure dealing with you and your associates. Every step has been easy and enjoyable. You’ve been professional and courteous all the way. I’ll certainly send pics and feedback for your web page. Wish I had a few more bucks to buy some more shiny toys from you (where are those lottery tickets?)螺
Thanks again for everything. Finding Clifford was a little dream come true and closing the deal with you was another pleasant little dream. Cheers from Wisconsin! 燎

Clifford has settled in nicely in his new home. Had a chance last weekend to take some sexier pictures without rain and darkness. He shows off well. Thank you so much for allowing me to “adopt” him. It was a pleasure working with you and everyone at the Museum. I’ve never bought a car long distance over the internet like this so I was grateful for your guidance and reassurance. Clifford was just as advertised. He was delivered to my garage safe and sound (if a little wet from the rain), and I am one proud mama! Everyone Clifford has met loves him. And how could they not? He’s so friggin COOL!

Hello Jon!  The ’56 arrived safe and sound about 10:30 last night!  We are very, very pleased with our new red sled!!  If it wasn’t snowing….though not much snow falling…. Jim would be test driving it. I thought I might need to throw a pillow and blanket in the garage for him last night, but he did eventually come in the house.

Thanks a lot for your great support and for sending me pictures! It is a pleasure for me to do business with you and having a reputable business partner on the other side of the ocean. I can not wait to have the Turbo over here and making the first drive with it.
I will send you pictures of the car, when it´s arriving here, including a picture with the Turbo and myself. I still didn`t hear from Norma or Javier concerning the further shipment to Bremerhaven, but I guess they will contact me in time.
Best regards and thanks again

Hi, Preparing for some eye surgery tomorrow but just wanted to send you a quick note which I will follow up within a couple of days. The car arrived tonight while it was still light and I must say you and your company are gentlemen. I can’t tell you how many cars I have bought through my nearly 40 years of collecting and the car was 100% as advertised. It was a pleasant surprise! I will put in feedback in a couple of days.

Thanks Again!

I cannot thank the St. Louis Car Museum enough, and most importantly Jon Faust, for making it a real pleasure to purchase a classic car and for making it so easy. I’m overwhelmed with the honesty, quickness, and fantastic autos they have for sale. They really are a cut above the other classic car dealers, and I’ve bought from a few. I will buy another car from them again. They are my number one stop for everything I will need in the future. I don’t consider Jon a salesman, but a friend indeed. Again, I thank him for everything he did for and I ask God to bless him and his family. If anyone is looking for a classic car, please use the St. Louis Car Museum. They are the best in the nation!

Thanks to Jon Faust! I love my ’55 Crown Victoria!

Virgil S. (Spencerville, OH)

Good morning Jon,
The car got delivered yesterday afternoon. There were no problems unloading, it started right up, backed it out, no problems. When weather conditions get more favorable, I’ll be out playing with the new toy! The delivery driver was courteous and respectfully in all ways. He wanted a picture of himself sitting in the car, so we were happy to do that for him.

Ryan F. (New Hyde Park, NY)

Car is clean, clean, clean!  Wow!  Thanks for all your help!

William B. (Collegeville, PA)

Positively the single best car buying experience of my 66 years. Jon Faust is extremely knowledgeable, and what he doesn't know he finds out VERY quickly. He made my first foray into the world of classic cars a delight. In so doing, he helped me make good on a vow I made many years ago, realizing a dream of a lifetime. How do you thank someone for that?

Thank you, Jon, and all who helped bring my dream to reality!

Randy Byers (Little Compton, RI)

Dear Jon,
Here, at last, are three pictures of my beautiful Corvair Spyder Convertible shown at its new home in Rhode Island.  One picture shows an old man standing beside the car, he happens to be me. We have had a lot of fun with the car. I had not driven the car more than a mile and I was stopped by a man whose father had a Corvair and he told me about how he and his dad had loved it. The local Historical Society had their fall open house day and they asked if I would put my car on display, which I did, the car was like a magnet, people swarmed around it and everyone I talked to had a Corvair story to tell.

As for the St. Louis Car Museum, I have nothing but praise for the way they took care of me, the customer. The people at the museum were great, everything was handled in a businesslike manner and all of the details were taken care of in a timely way. The pictures online of the car were detailed and showed the car just as it was when I saw it for the first time upon its delivery to me in Rhode Island. Should I ever be in the market for another classic car, I would certainly contact St. Louis Car Museum and let them try to find the type of vehicle I would be in the market for.

Best regards,
Randy B. Little Compton, RI

Good day Jon,

Thanks for the pix! I just received a call from the carrier and the car will arrive at the border for tomorrow. I am looking forward to picking it up! I have had some unpleasant experiences in the past, but dealing with you has been nothing other than professional and pleasurable.

Shaun V. (Cornelia, GA)

St. Louis Car Museum is one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. I have bought many cars in the past from many dealers, but nothing like buying from them. These guys don’t just sell cars. They sell quality cars. I had been searching for my dream car for months, and they had the car I wanted. Jon is excellent to work with. He kept me informed every step of the way until my car made it home safely. I highly recommend St. Louis Car Museum to anyone, and I would definitely buy from them again.

Phil K. (La Cañada Flintridge, CA)

I’m happy to offer you guys a written testimonial! On a more important note, I took my boys for a spin in the sun today just driving the car around and had the best time! It’s an absolute blast! Love the thing to death! So incredible! The mechanic I took the car to (just to establish a relationship) freaked out when he looked under the hood. Couldn’t believe the shape the car was in. Thanks for all the help!

Hi Jon,

Our new “blue-bird” has safely arrived here in Florida and is settling down in its new “nest.” Although it is a very rainy, gloomy day here weather wise, John & I couldn’t be any happier!!! I’m sending some pictures of the car’s arrival, etc. Again, we want to Thank You for this experience, and all you did to make a very memorable one…..hope we can meet again someday!

Take care & stay warm

The Model A Deluxe Phaeton that I purchased from you has given us pure joy. Barely a weekend goes by that we don’t find ourselves out cruising Pacific Coast Highway and loving every minute of it. In the photo we are on a car ferry going across the harbor. The captain of the ferry told me he sees lots of classic cars coming across but this is by far the best he’s ever seen. I get a lot of compliments on this vehicle and I always mention the great buying experience I had with the St. Louis Car Museum. You guys have a great inventory. For my next classic car purchase, St. Louis Car Museum will be the first place I look. You sold us more than a car, you sold us something that we are making memories with.

Ron D. (Seattle, WA)

Dear Jon,

I want to take a moment to express how much we enjoyed our experience working with Alex. I felt that he was very professional and was very attentive to our purchase. In the initial conversations, he made a point of ensuring that we had as much information and quickly follow up to our questions as possible. We felt he did an excellent job coordinating our request to be able to have the inspector drop by your store. As we approached the process of working out a mutually agreeable purchase, we felt he was very pleasant to work with and we felt he did a great job of being the bridge between your firm and us. So just a quick note to let you know that we look forward to future deals and to say thank you to you and your firm as well as Alex.

Have a great weekend!

David D. (Windham, NH)

Hello!

The Auburn arrived and it is truly a beauty! As you may well expect, buying an expensive classic car sight unseen based solely on due diligence, photos and my communications with you can be a leap of faith. Not only did I enjoy working with you, but am delighted to report that the car is even better than advertised. I certainly feel I got my money’s worth. The delivery truck you arranged was very professional and easy to work with. I will certainly refer The St Louis Car Museum and you, in particular, to my friends who may be in the market for a collector car.

Thanks!

Hi Alexander,

Here’s a photo of the 1926 Model T Ford I purchased from you safely in Melbourne, Australia. Thanks for your help in selecting the transportation Company who efficiently arranged everything . . . it all went like clockwork, and your experience in dealing with overseas clients made all the difference. Everything went so smoothly and the car arrived without damage.

It has been a delight dealing with you!

Cheers

St Louis Car Museum was the most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had in my long life – and I am a Canadian and have no connection what so ever with this great company. I was looking for an original 1962 Corvette – and I mean not only numbers matching but the real thing – Original engine.. I had a very bad experience at another large Corvette classic retailer and paid $100,000.00 for a 1962 Corvette that was seriously misrepresented. After getting burned, I spent months finding the real thing from an honest dealer – and that was Jon at St Louis Museum… After being burned once on a “Matching numbers” car that was matching numbers because the Dealer stamped numbers on to match – I was very careful. Jon at St Louis couldn’t have been more helpful with pictures and recommendations and allowing multiple people examine the car. I must have bugged him 20 times over a few weeks with more and more questions and pictures and he was just so obliging with all requests. – So I flew down to see the car and Jon and the wonderful experience continued. It was just a fantastic experience and over two years later that amazing 1962 Corvette just got another Top Flight NCRS award – not in any way altered from when I bought it in March 2012.

I would love to go back and spend a day there looking at those great cars and seeing Jon again – You really must go there if Classic cars interest you. You will never regret it!

Dirk K. (Dusseldorf, Germany)

This is to inform you that the car has been delivered today and supersedes all our expectations. The car looks great and drives great as far as we could test it. This is also to thank you for the seamless service and your cooperation. Be assured that we will recommend St. Louis Car Museum whenever we are asked.

Happy to do business with you in the future.

Kind regards, Dirk

Thanks for all of your help in arranging the purchase of the 1952 Pontiac Wagon – great car!

Keith W. (O’Fallon, MO)

The staff at St. Louis Car Museum were very professional and made the process of selling my car smooth and seamless. The expectations were set up front and there were no surprises. The exposure my car received from St. Louis Car Museum was fantastic and a special thanks to Jon for negotiating the best price for me. I received my payment quickly and I would definitely do business with them again!

We purchased the Riviera 4 years ago from St. Louis Car Museum. Jon Faust was our salesman. We received very professional, honest service throughout the whole transaction. That’s very important when you are spending this kind of money! He helped us find a transporter to get the Buick to Iowa. We are still “tweaking” things on the Buick, and we love it!

Arden D. (Weatherford, OK)

Jon, just wanted to thank you again for all of your help in building one of the finest collections, I think, of classic cars and motorcycles in Oklahoma (maybe the Southwest). You will recall that it all started with the 1982 Excalibur. WOW. I had seen one on a turnpike here in Oklahoma and almost wrecked looking at it. Well, when I saw the one you were offering, spoke with you at length about it, and read all of the wonderful descriptors you had furnished on the website, then researched the Excalibur and it’s designer/builder, I was sold and had to have it. As I said, that’s where it all started… Lord only knows where it will stop. Since that purchase, I have bought a number of vehicles from your company, each of which met or exceeded my expectations. I am having fun reliving my younger days when the old pocket book would never have supported owning these beauties, but alas, good things come to those who wait and now I am able to afford my toys. Everyone who has visited my “museum” or toy box as I call it, are amazed and always ask “Where in the world did you ever find these beautiful cars?” All I can say is if you are looking for a well described and educated offering of a classic automobile, motorcycle, or boat you should check the inventory at St. Louis Car Museum and Sales, and although I’ve not had personal contact with all of the sales folks, I can certainly recommend Jon Faust and I know you will be impressed with his professional abilities and service. But let me say too, that if you see something you like, you’d better not wait… I missed a gorgeous ’58 Impala convertible by 15 minutes a few months ago. If you see something you like, jump in, the water’s fine……. Thanks

Hi, I’d just like to thank St Louis Car Museum for the great experience of buying my ’65 Mustang Fastback R Model. Jon Faust was our sales person and he was extremely helpful, professional and polite. I purchased this car unseen from Australia after over 8 months of looking at ads from many car resellers and private owners. With many other cars that I had seen, I was uncomfortable that I was being taken advantage of because I wasn’t there to see the car in person. Photos were often blurry or taken from too far away to really see the car and if there were issues. With Jon and St Louis Car Museum I felt real confidence and relief that I was dealing with people and a company of integrity. Jon even helped me ship the car to my dad’s in Georgia so we could enjoy it together for a few weeks before I put it on the ship to Australia. We really enjoy driving the car!

After hearing all of my dad’s stories about the Mustangs he owned and raced in the 60’s – a 65, 66, 67 and a 69 Mach 1, it is my dream come true to own this car and experience what it was like to drive the car that started it all just as it was back in 1965.

Thanks to Jon and St Louis Car Museum!

I was on my iPhone one evening and through a website connection on my cell phone I became aware of a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aero Sedan “Woody” for sale through the St. Louis Car Museum and after viewing the 70 photos that accompanied the ad, I got in contact with my salesman Alex and asked if the car drove as good as it looked? He suggested a personal drive the next day (as I lived in the St. Louis area), and after setting a 10:00 am appointment I arrived and he was waiting to greet me. After a comprehensive tour of their beautiful facility and automobile inventory of “previously pampered” classic cars (I felt like a kid in a candy store), he took me for a spin in the ’48 Chevy and then let me drive it (by myself). After a few “miles of smiles” tooling around in it, I returned and we completed the transaction and the deal was sealed within 3 days.

I choose to store my new baby in their environmentally controlled facility and have shown it every weekend since my purchase one month ago, winning 3 first in class and one Best of Show awards thus far. Besides Alex who is eager, professional and knowledgeable, Jon (the sales manager), Richard, Andy, and Kevin (mechanics and support staff) and the friendly office staff have made feel like I’m part of the family, and have transcended the business relationship, and have established a personal relationship as well. I’d recommend this fine organization and their outstanding automobile inventory to anybody looking for an excellent product at a fair price. In fact, after seeing the car I purchased, my classic car insurance carrier offered to raise the insurable amount by 20% more than what I paid for it, so I know I received a fair price for an excellent classic car! I’ve already put 300 miles on my “baby” and that’s 300 more miles than it was driven during the last 30 years! It handles beautifully is solid, tight and just turned 38,000 original miles on the odometer. I’m looking forward to many more years and miles of driving it, and a continuation of the professional and personal attention that I receive from the St. Louis Car Museum in the coming years.

I found a vehicle online with St. Louis Car Museum one evening while going out to dinner, yes I was in the car and my wife was driving. I called about the vehicle and spoke to Alex, then after looking at the many pictures that were on the site, I decided to leave a deposit on the vehicle over the phone. Alex sent me more pictures that night. I was going to make the trip to St. Louis to inspect the vehicle. Alex was sincere about the description and talking to him, I felt very comfortable. I decided to buy the vehicle and have it shipped to my home. I wired the money, the car was delivered and was in better condition than I expected. Alex kept me informed and in the loop during the whole process by e-mail or phone. I am completely satisfied with the purchase and experience with St. Louis Car Museum.

Thank you!
