1965 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible. Very clean and nicelyrestored. Highly optionedand well-appointed. 389 cubic inch/315horsepower V-8 engine. This car has always been well cared for andhas never been subject to abuse or neglect. This is truly a superbautomobile to be enjoyed and driven. For 1965, General Motorsdramatically restyled all of their "B" body cars. Swoopingrooflines, rakish fender lines and the infamous "Coke Bottle"profile contributed to making Pontiac's redesigned Bonneville oneof most popular body styles ever produced. The Bonneville's newlook with accentuated with plenty of bright trim on the lower bodysides and on the rear deck. Inside, new upholstery and newinstrumentation were featured. Four different body styles wereoffered for Bonneville's 1965 line including a two-door sedan, afour-door sedan, a station wagon and a convertible. 21,505convertibles were built and carried a base price of 3,520.00. Weare proud to offer this very clean and nicely restored 1965 PontiacBonneville convertible. This car was restored in 2001 from a verysolid, straight and correct car. Upon close inspection, it becomesvery apparent that this example has always been well cared for andhas never been subject to abuse or neglect. This is a highlyoptioned and well-appointed example. Under the hood is the original389 cubic inch/315 horsepower V-8 engine with a single four-barrelcarburetor which is backed by GM's, bullet-proof, Turbo-Hydramatictransmission. The powertrain on this car is equipped with powersteering, power brakes, dual exhaust and 8-lug aluminum wheels.Other equipment includes power top, tinted glass, two-speed wiperswith washers, AM/FM factory stereo with rear speakers, power rearantenna, remote outside rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel,interior and trunk courtesy lamps. Since being restored in 2001,this Bonneville convertible has been consistently maintained andcared for by a fussy collector of 1960s GM automobiles. The car hasalways been stored in a climate controlled. It has been regularlyused and has never been neglected. The body panels are nice andstraight. The doors, hood and deck lid fit the body well with evengaps and margins throughout. The bodylines and contours are crispand well defined. The exterior white paint remains in excellentcondition showing hardly any signs of wear. The paint has aconsistent and even gloss. The chrome and stainless trim items arealso in very good condition. On the inside, the black interiorappears to have been replaced at the time of restoration and todayshows hardly any wear. The seats, door panels, carpets, etc. areall extremely clean. The wood-grained dashboard is also very niceand all of the gauges are clean and clear and the indicated mileageis about 92,000. The matching black, power convertible top appearsto have been recently replaced. The engine bay is extremely cleanand appears to be well cared for. The underneath of the car is insimilar condition. It is obvious that this was always a good carand honest car. The rare 8-lug aluminum wheels are extremely cleanand the tires are newer replacements. This is a great looking carthat presents well from all angles. It is ready for several moreseasons of top down driving and will certainly be a hit at the nextcar show or cruise night.
