The Mercedes G-wagon, or Geländewagen, has remained one of Daimler's longest running production vehicles, coming to the military market in 1979, with a revised civilian version with considerably more luxury appointments introduced in 1990. Having a full-time 4-wheel drive system and three electronic locking differentials, it remains a highly capable off-road vehicle. Inside though, it would rival its upscale S-Class cousin with leather and wood trimmed appointments along with many desirable amenities!
We are excited to offer this 2002 Mercedes Benz G500 finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Charcoal leather interior. This exceptionally well-kept example comes from only three owners over its lifetime, each who took impeccable care of it, both cosmetically and mechanically. Under the hood lies the dependable M113 all-aluminum 5.0L SOHC V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. Features include dual-zone climate control, power windows & locks, power seats & headrests, power adjustable steering column, heated seats, rear privacy glass, power sunroof, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, running boards, rear-mounted spare tire with cover, front & rear fog lamps, headlight washers, programmable Homelink remotes, and carpeted floor mats.
This G500 has remained in the same family ownership since 2003, traded briefly between members before electing to sell it publicly for the first time in 20 years! In preparation for the sale, it was fully serviced in 2023 with all new fluids in the engine and differentials; new transmission filter & fresh fluid, Mann engine air filter set and Mahle cabin filter; new Michelin tires installed; new drag link, tie rod, and tie rods ends; along with upgrading the radio head unit to a modern Alpine touchscreen with enhanced Bluetooth, Sirius satellite radio, CarPlay/Android Auto capable, and high-resolution rearview backup camera along with new speaker rear door speakers; wiper blades; and the additional Mercedes all-weather mats with Weather Tech rear cargo liner installed.
