The 996 generation of 911 debuted in 1999 with arguably the most radical departure from the iconic formula yet. Featuring a new interior, a water-cooled 3.4L 4-valve per cylinder engine, and non-round headlights, the 996 introduced a newer, quieter, more user-friendly car that appealed to a far broader audience than any 911 before it. It was longer, wider, stiffer, and lighter with superior aerodynamics! It was an instant sales success and over six years proving to be a very likeable car, both for returning enthusiasts and first-time Porsche buyers!
We are excited to offer this gorgeous 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe finished in Arena Red Metallic over Graphite Gray Leather interior! Features include 3.4L water-cooled 6-cylinder engine making 300 horsepower mated to the 6-speed manual transmission, Porsche Stability Management system, power-assisted rack & pinion steering, 4-piston brake calipers with cross-drilled ventilated rotors, electric sliding sunroof with tilt, full power accessories, keyless entry, anti-theft alarm with immobilizer all as standard equipment. Original options on this special example include 18” Turbo-Look wheels, colored wheel crests, Hi-Fi Sound System with 6-disc CD changer.
This car was originally ordered and sold new from Syracuse, New York area before quickly making it way out to San Diego, CA just 15 months later with 10,389 miles on the odometer where it would remain until 2005. While in sunny, southern California, it would be driven regularly and routinely serviced by Porsche of San Diego to include the 15K, 30K, and 45K Recommended Services all completed on schedule. It was then traded in December 2005 to Springfield Imports/Lipscomb Porsche with 57,499 miles on the odometer. It would immediately be treated to a full 60K Recommended Service and driven as a demo that spring. It would sell in July 2006 with 58,630 miles on the odometer, returning again with 75,418 miles on the odometer for Springfield Imports to perform the 75K Recommended Service. It has had routine brake fluid flushes recorded with the most recent completed at 80,504 miles. The last Mobil I Synthetic 0W40 oil change was completed at 81,811 miles. Today, the odometer reads 85,120 miles.
The former owner of 14 years was an avid enthusiast contributing to the car to personalize it to his taste. This included the addition of a Duraflex GT2 style rear spoiler, Techart style side skirts, K&N cold air induction system, ZTek high-performance stainless-steel exhaust system & headers, short-throw shift kit, and 20” Axis Lenso Rennsport 5-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the audio system was enhanced to a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth, Sat/USB head unit, upgraded speakers, Alpine amplifier and JBL subwoofer enclosure! This Porsche Carrara 4 Coupe will come with original owner's manuals with cover, one key, all tools, factory spare & jack, tinted window glass, and a damage-free CarFax report. It continues to smell as new inside, evidence it has never been smoked in or abused! It is a stellar looking example that continues to be a delight to drive on the open road! Please call with additional questions or to schedule a chance to review it in person! As always, thanks for looking!
