History About The Zimmer Motor Car Corporation:
When Paul Zimmer and his son Bob Zimmer decided to create a neo-classic automobile, I doubt they estimated the outstanding success that would ensue. Starting with a drawing on a napkin, it became a tale that great Hollywood stories are born from! With efforts rolling in 1978 from Pompano Beach, Florida, the original Zimmer Motor Cars Corporation platform car selected was the Mercury Cougar. It would then be transformed with a lengthened frame, all new fiberglass body, and custom interior to become the Golden Spirit!

When the rear-wheel-drive option become unavailable from Mercury, the Ford Mustang 2-door Coupe took its place in 1979 and carried through to its final year of production in 1988. Building the company to operate with some 175 employees during its peak, it was generating about 150 units each year celebrating $25 million in profits. The cars were fully endorsed by their Ford underpinnings maintaining their factory warranties, and future parts availability for a lifetime of use and easy care! Today, the Zimmer Neo-Classic Motor Car Company continues to operate under new ownership with pricing ranging from $109,900 to $179,900. Virtually guaranteed a place in collector car history, the Zimmer will always have a respected place in garages and museums worldwide!
