The MGA is long hailed as one of British Motor Corporation best looking creations. With elegant curves that truly highlight this classy, English roadster, it has cemented itself in the collector car world as a must-have for driver enthusiasts!
We are very proud to offer this 1959 MGA roadster refinished in correct Black exterior over new Black vinyl with red piping interior. This wonderful example was completely restored cosmetically! Fitted with a rebuilt 1500cc Inline 4 engine equipped with the fully rebuilt SU carburetors and mated to 4-speed manual transmission, it produces an estimated 70 horsepower. Additional service work completed during the 2012 overhaul included cleaned & boiled radiator; new water pump, hoses, and belt; brand new clutch kit; all new brakes, brake master cylinder, & brake lines; and a polished stainless steel new exhaust system! Options include Smiths heater, adjustable steering column, side curtains with sliding windows, 15” chrome wire spoke wheels with brand new whitewall 4-ply polyester tires!
Outside, the car was treated to a full repaint in factory correct gloss black with new fender beading, replacement windscreen and seal, new chrome bumpers and overriders, new headlight & taillight bezels, new chrome grill & shell, new rear chrome license light, fresh MG emblems, fender-mounted mirrors, and headlight guards! Further improvements made to the interior included all new black interior upholstery accented wonderfully with red piping, brand new carpets, door panels, padded dash, and new convertible top!
More recently in February 2020, it received a brand new SU fuel pump, in-line fuel filter, new spark plugs, oil change with oil filter, valve cover gasket, and brand new battery. And it is complete with a painted wire spoke spare tire, aluminum side curtains with new Plexiglas sliding windows, MG carpeted floor mats, and custom fitted carpeted trunk mat! Behind the driver's seat is a battery disconnect for times of storage along with a battery maintainer fitted to the battery to keep it charged and ready. This car also bares North American MGA Registry car No. 7238. It will be sold mileage exempt as the true mileage is unknown and is ready for immediate enjoyment, so please act quickly and feel welcome to call for more details!
