Introduced in 2015, the Polaris Slingshot was a reverse-engineered trike motorcycle proving more stability for riders looking for the open-air feel, but also an added level of security & comfort. At first, the futuristic appearance of the Slingshot looks like a mini-batmobile or something out of Tron which only adds to the instant excitement of wanting to be the driver behind the wheel! Whether you see it as a 3-wheel car or motorcycle, the roadster like feel is accompanied with dynamic power provided by a GM Ecotec 2.4L DOHC 16-valve Inline 4 cylinder engine providing stout power measured at 173 horsepower and 166 lb.ft. of torque, all through a 5-speed manual transmission with reverse! Factor in the 1,749 pound wet weight, short 149.6 inch total length, and wide 77.2 front wheel front track, it has all the makings of the wild ride provided by automobiles worth three times the price!!
Offered here is a 2016 Polaris Slingshot finished in Metallic Gray with waterproof Black and Gray interior. Having only one owner from new, this 2,038 mile example has been wonderfully maintained and driven on only the fairest of days, and garaged in-between. It features a high strength space frame chassis, electronic-assisted steering, optional windscreen, projection front lighting, LED rear lighting, 17 front wheels with 18 rear wheel, hydraulic disc brakes with ABS, 3-point seat harnesses, tilt steering, stability control, traction control, forged aluminum roll hoops, aluminum double wishbone sport-tuned front suspension, front sway bar, coil-over swingarm rear suspension, and polymer body panels. A remarkably fun vehicle option for anyone looking for that motorcycle feel as well as side-by-side comfort!
