Super slick Ford Hi-Boy with one of the finest flame jobs we haveever seen! Powered by a ZZ4 V8 with Tuned Port Injection, 4-speedautomatic transmission, 4-wheel power disc brakes, American Racingwheels, all chrome suspension and engine! An awesome street rod inevery way! Most would agree that true street rodding began in theearly 1950s utilizing the classic cars from the 1930s asinspiration. Its arguable that the early 1930s Fords were the mostpopular choice to customize, trick out, and personalize. The 1932Ford 3-window, 5-window, and Roadster were high on the list andquickly became obsolete and difficult to find years later in anycondition. This is when the option of a fiberglass body became theeasiest solution, along with a host of custom chassis shops tobuild your street rod from scratch using completely new parts fromstart to finish. Options were endless, and no two cars are exactlyalike today. For smart buyers seeking the efforts of an alreadyfinished car, we think you would be hard pressed to match the levelof expertise, time, and money put into this example we are offeringtoday! We are very proud to offer this custom 1932 Ford Hi-BoyRoadster finished with a myriad color palate of flames using Houseof Kolor paints starting with Planet Green Metallic as the basecolor! This absolutely exquisite finish work was executed by paintspecialist & artist, Wet Willy, of Wet Willys Custom Paint & Designin Clarmore, OK! Undeniably sharp in every sense, it has gone on toearn the House of Color Presigious Painter Award and be featured intheir 2007 calendar, and Good Guys Rod & Custom Association PPGPaint Pick Award! Beginning with a Kilbourne body and TCI boxedchassis, it was fitted with a ZZ4 crate 350ci V8 & TPIfuel-injection by Street & Performance of Mena, Arkansas along witha 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, and Ford 9 rear axle withTraction-Lok! The front suspension consists of a 4 round tube dropaxle with 4-link bars and power front disc brakes! All has beenfully chromed to enhance the look, with billet calipers proving thestopping power. At the rear is also a 4-link system with panhardbar, and adjustable spring positions to control ride height as wellas adjustable coil-over shocks for better road feel, and Ford 9axle with disc brakes! Inside the tan leather clad interior, youwill be impressed with the level of care to build a bench styleseat with a comfortable bucket feel! Nothing was left unfinishedincluding covering the underside of the dash and a trunk to match!Full dash instrumentation is provided using VDO gauges. Otherfeatures include chrome IDIDIT tilt steering column & billetsteering wheel, dual outside mirrors, tinted windshield, Lokarpedals & throttle cables, Bop Top removable cloth roof, AmericanRacing wheels in a big-little combination, electric cooling fan, stainless steel gas tank, and more! Finished in 2007, it has beendriven and shown with just 6,087 miles on the odometer today! Stilllooking quite impressive overall, the only areas showing some agetoday are the painted chassis rails at the very bottom, particularly closest to the engine. Although these areas remaininvisible from the topside. We feel this example will quickly proveits worth once seen in person, and understanding the level ofexpertise behind the quality build. For those investors looking forthe right car with the money already spent to make it right, lookno further!
