Very sharp, older restoration to a long time California car! Fully restored cosmetically approximately 20 years ago, this CCCA Full Classic continues to show very well! Nicely equipped with 346ci V8,Hydra-Matic transmission, radial whitewalls, and Cadillac Deluxe trim throughout! All new styling in 1941 for Cadillac models showcased headlights now fully integrated into the fenders for the first time, along with a hood that opened from the front. This allowed for a horizontal grill to stretch further better highlighting the entire front end. Also available for the first time was the Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and a hidden gas tank filler underneath the rear taillight trim. An interesting feature that would become a Cadillac trademark for many years to follow!
We are delighted to offer this 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Coupe finished in Valcour Maroon with Tan Leather interior! Under the hood lies a 346ci V8 engine providing 150 horsepower and impressive 283 ft. lb. of torque through a Hydra-Matic transmission! Additional features include heater/defrost, under seat heaters, vacuum-powered folding convertible top, dash clock (converted to Quartz), Glare-Proof mirror, dual outside mirrors, front & rear bumper guards, full fender skirts, cowl vent, full chrome wheel discs, and Coker Classic 235/75R15 radial whitewall tires!
Believed to be professionally restored in approximately 1989-90 to include all new rebuilt engine (new lifters installed in 2017), new rebuilt Hydra-Matic to replace the factory original 3-speed manual, all new labeled cloth-covered wiring from front to back, new lacquer exterior paint, completely new interior with leather front seating surfaces, Stayfast canvass top & boot cover, fresh braking system, some re-plated chrome where appropriate, expertly painted burled walnut dash, and much more! Recently it received new Coker Classic radial tires, fresh drive belts & coolant hoses, all new engine fluids, new spark plugs & wires, and other standard maintenance.
This car hails from the hands of collector, Robert Renwick, who maintained possession for 18 years to drive at his winter home in California, before letting go in October 2017. It was last owned by a prominent St. Louis collector before being traded as partial payment on a 1924 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Paul Mall Touring earlier this summer. It remains an excellent example with strong touring credentials, and is listed a CCCA Full Classic making for a popular choice for CCCA Caravans. Please feel free to call with additional questions, or schedule a chance to review closer in person!
