1954 mg tf

Amazing T series MG! A professional nut and bolt restoration from an avid MG collector! Only 85,000 actual miles! Wonderful driving example with recent service, and ready for the next owner to enjoy! Very well optioned with 15" chrome wire wheels and stunning color combination! Considered an intermediate car for the MG Cars for only 3 years while the MGA was being finalized, only 9600 of these MG TF cars were ever produced. Based mainly on the TD, but the headlights were shaped beautifully in the front fenders, the hood was upgraded to push-button latches, and a radiator tilted slightly backwards for a very aerodynamically designed front end.

This 1954 MG-TF roadster is finished with a Silver body and Black fenders, Black leather interior with Black canvass convertible top and side curtains. Fitted with its original, numbers matching XPAG 1250 Inline 4-cylinder engine that has been bored professionally to match the displacement of the 1466cc engine also available in 1954,baring proper head stamp AEF118, and mated to a 4-speed manual transmission! This makes this particular example a delight to drive in any environment! Options include 15" chrome wire spoke wheels, dual front fender-mounted mirrors, luggage rack, seatbelts, stainless steel exhaust, sun visors, badge bar and fog lamps, MG logo floor mats, aluminum finned valve cover, heater, ash tray, and full tonneau cover! A complete nut and bolt restoration was performed by George Medynski of M&G Vintage Auto, which also included the complete engine rebuild in 1995. Photo documentation, along with receipts of the restoration is included with the car. Also included is the original owner's manual and sale brochure. It will also come complete with original jack, Thor hammer, spinner tool, and spare servicing components. All the original MG badges, XPEG engine plate, and VIN plates in place. All gauges, horn, wipers, heater blower, lights are functional. This car needs nothing but a new owner to enjoy it. All gauges, horn, wipers, heater blower, and lights are functional.

The mileage shows only 85,088 miles, which according to the two former owners totaling the 23 years combined, is true and original since new, with approximately 12,000 miles added since the restoration. It has been shown and driven regularly over the years which included a 1st Place win from the Northeast MG Registry, and visits to the Watkins Glen historic 4.5 mile reenactment race through town & the track itself! Always properly serviced, and maintained in a climate controlled garage. All records back to 1969, two sets of keys, and workshop manual also included. All cars are advertised locally and nationally. St. Louis Car Museum reserves the right to end any listing early upon receipt of deposit. Please do not hesitate to call us with questions, to schedule a viewing appointment, or to secure a vehicle. As always, we are happy to assist in world wide transportation of the car should the new owner require it.
