He added roughly 3,500 overthe next 8 years before electing to sell it in 2013 to a LakeAriel, PA owner. This owner added another 160 miles to theodometer with only minimal use during the summer months through2017 now totaling 3,662 miles on the odometer. For this reason,before arrival to the St. Louis Car Museum, the car was thoroughlyinspected by A-Tech Automotive in Columbia, NJ and a fullcomprehensive mechanical restoration commenced in January 2017.This included new rear main seal, front crank seal, new Gates waterpump & gasket, new timing cover gasket, fresh intake gasket, newthermostat & gasket, new upper & lower GM radiator hoses, drivebelts, new fuel sending unit, fuel filter & housing, upper & lowerball joints, inner & outer tie rod ends, idler arm, center linkbushings, new driveshaft universal joints, rear axle seals &bearings with fresh differential fluid; new power steering hoses,all new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware, rubber brake hoses,new master cylinder & rod, and fresh DOT 3 fluid; all new clutch,pressure plate, release & pilot bearings, along with rebuilttransmission! Once the engine and transmission were reunited,fresh spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, points &condenser were installed, ignition timing set, new oil & filter,new battery & cables, and carburetors adjusted perfectly! NewCoker Classic whitewalls and four-wheel alignment completedeverything. This service totaled nearly $12,500 to ensure the nextlucky owners can use with absolute mental comfort!
