A super attractive post-depression era vehicle that would fit into any collection!

With the post-depression era in full spring, Nash Motors Company following many manufacturers and decided to lure new buyers by spoiling them with new options and bigger engines. In 1930, Nash introduced its Twin Ignition Eight engine, but simplified the model series in1931 to the Series Eight-90. Measuring 298.6ci, the inline8 cylinder engine utilizes an incredible 9 main bearings for extra dependability, spark plugs flanking both sides of the engine block numbering sixteen, and an OHV head all feed by a Stromberg carburetor to produce a stout 115 horsepower! They were magnificently decorated cars with as much style as any larger automaker!

The engine bears block date casting 2-9-31 (February 9th, 1931) and engine #396871,still fed by a rare Stromberg UUR-2 carburetor. Options on this example include dual side-mounted spare tires with polished stainless steel covers, front grill guard, beautiful Mermaid radiator mascot, large Glo-Lite headlamps, Do-Ray fog lamps, front license plate holder, twin cowl vents, crank-out windshield, bi-wing style decorative bumpers, standard cargo storage area & auxiliary trunk for additional luggage, Sparton bugle horns, and auxiliary AC engine oil filter! Inside, the amenities continue with a jewel like dash & accessory hardware, rear entry assist handle, glass flower vase, rear window privacy curtains, and rear side & center armrests!

This Nash 899 has been in the hands of the former Alabama family since October of 1996 and over their 21 years of care, it's been garage kept and exercised sparingly but as often as possible. It will come with a copy of the original operator's instruction & care manual, hub cap removal tool, and extra keys. It continues to start and run quite well, and more importantly shows as a solid & rust free example not easily found on the market today! Please feel absolutely welcome to schedule a chance to review this impressive Nash in person.
