1988 jeep grand wagoneer

Wonderfully restored Grand Wagoneer limousine with just 103,000 miles! Cosmetically & mechanically restored to ensure a confidence on the road! Limited production 60” stretch example originally built for service in Colorado, then spending the next two decades hidden in Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Functional 4-wheel-drive, front & rear air conditioning, full power accessories, intercom phone system, and freshly serviced for immediate enjoyment! A very unique investment!!

The Jeep Wagoneer was introduced to the market as the first American built sport utility vehicle (SUV) in 1963 and carried through an industry leading 28 years of production. Deemed a 4-wheel drive truck with car-like drivability, it literally wrote the book decades before buyers would find large trucks a suitable daily driver. It would be produced with limited changes year to year, but the most luxurious and well-appointed came about with the introduction of the Grand Wagoneer in 1984. It would be fully loaded with all available options and became the “gold standard” for luxury off-road vehicles. Standard equipment included 15” alloy wheels with all season tires, air conditioning, dual front power seats, AM/FM/ Cassette radio with Jensen Accusound speakers, roof rack & rails, leather & velour seating surfaces, leather wrapped steering wheel, power windows & locks, power rear hatch window, tinted window glass, faux wood body side appliques, and so much more! After Chrysler acquired AMC in early 1987, only a few improvements were made to this well established platform making the 1987-1991 final year models highly desirable for collectors today!

We are very excited to offer this unique and very special 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer stretch limousine finished in factory code correct Dover Gray Metallic over Cordovan leather & cloth combination interior! Power comes from its original 360ci 5.9L V8 engine with automatic transmission offering easy 4-wheel drive capabilities through the ease of moving a dash lever. Said to be one of six ever produced, this 60” stretch 4x4 limousine continues to be in excellent shape! Options are abundant and fully functional! These include front & rear air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power rear tailgate window, dual power divider glass partitions, cruise control, dual 8-way power front seats, rear defrost, illuminated passenger vanity mirror, carpeted floor mats, power steering, power front disc brakes, roof top rack & rails, 15” alloy wheel wrapped in 235/75R15 Cooper Trendsetter radial whitewall tires, front fog lamps, intermittent wipers with washers, and more!

This example was originally in service in the Denver, Colorado area with Elite Transport before selling with 86,636 miles to a Jackson Hole, WY owner where it was sparingly used as a limousine from May 1994 thru 2001. Although, he maintained possession and continued to care for the Jeep until November 2015! At that time, it finally traded hands to Jeep Grand Wagoneer specialist, Wagon Masters in Kerrville, Texas with 101,940 miles on the odometer. We had the opportunity to purchase it in November 2016. We provided a deserving amount of attention as it had sat largely unused during the later years. It was decided to be fully repainted in July 2017 to improve the lack luster original exterior paint along with new exterior wood veneer utilizing the original wood moldings. The interior upholstery remains beautifully original and in rather gorgeous condition!

Further improvements include all new padded vinyl roof and roof rack hardware, all new door weather stripping, sunroof seals, new interior headliner, new carpet overlay, completely refinished all interior wood trim & cabinetry, new mechanical fuel pump, new 125amp alternator & battery, fresh drive belts, fully rebuilt carburetor & inlet air ducting, new air filter & fuel filter, flushed brake system with new fluid, new temperature sender, rebuilt a/c system with new condenser & receiver dryer along with conversion to R134a refrigerant, new heater blower motor, heater hoses & rear cabin valves, under hood insulation, new transmission & coolant fluid, and complete transfer case seal replacement all completed though 2018. It also received new front leaf springs & shocks, new muffler and rear exhaust tail pipe, re-polished front bumper, new grill fascia, and refinished bumper guards and chin spoiler!

Today, this remarkable example now possesses just 103,247 original miles and continues to offer superb drive qualities, let alone outstanding investment potential! We improved the interior with a more modern Pioneer DVD player & 13.3” flat screen TV. Limousine examples like this incredible unit are not easy to find, let alone in this condition offered with such few miles on the odometer! For some you comedy fans, you may remember catching a glimpse of one such limousine in the hit movie Dumb & Dumber starring Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels when they arrived into Aspen, CO! It measures 252” in total length. We encourage all investors to act quickly should you be looking for the unique multi-passenger SUV investment to add to your collection! Call to schedule an appointment to view in person or visit further about purchase opportunities. Thanks for looking! Act quickly!
