Lexus joined the Luxury Coupe market in 1991 with the SC400. It came with great design attributes and a powerful V8 under the hood. A six cylinder variant followed in 1992 as the SC300. These stylish Coupes were produced until the model year 2000 and then replaced by a much-anticipated second generation version. From its inception, the new 2001 design was meant to be a convertible, a first-ever offering from the premium Lexus brand. With 5 years of design and engineering behind this stunning new convertible, it was packed with features, functionality, and impressive styling! The body shape was extensively wind tunnel tested to optimize air flow around the car to element wind noise during top-down driving. The upscale interior was trimmed in a perfect balance of burled walnut & bird's eye maple, leather surfaces, and brushed aluminum accents. The aluminum hardtop was made to retract with the push of a button in just 25 seconds. A brilliant Mark Levinson audio system supplied the music, and a DVD-based Navigation system was standard equipment to show you the way! A new 4.3L V8 DOHC VVT-I engine under the hood provided a smooth 300 horsepower through a 5-speed overdrive automatic transmission! It was a hugely successful model for Lexus, and sadly only produced for 9 years, ending in 2010.

This is a beautiful example and comes with just 61,661 miles on the odometer! It has been with the current adult owners since March 2009 and always garaged and maintained to the highest standards. It was used primarily on fair weather days only; and never abused, smoked in, or mistreated. The CarFax does indicate a January 2005 accident where passenger side damage was reported. We would like to point out that all original VIN panel stickers are still present throughout the entire car, so no replacement panels were needed in the repair.
