The Mercedes Brand has expanded over the years to accommodate all levels of buyer requirements, whether by passenger space or the necessity for luxury amenities. With price being a large factor in purchasing power, and to stay competitive with other luxury brands, Mercedes introduced the GLK-Series to compete with BMW X3 and Acura RDX sport utility vehicles. These mid-sized crossovers were ideal to lure new, younger buyers to the brand, especially at a more entry-level price point. Moreover, they are very well powered with the 3.5L DOHC 24V V6 engine providing a stout 268 horsepower and 258 lb. ft. of torque!

This vehicle was part of a corporate fleet associated to our museum, and maintained inhouse professionally since its acquisition in November 2014 with 65,822 miles on the odometer. Today, the odometer reads 115,791 miles having been driven at an average of less than 5,000 miles a year. It received annual oil changes and scheduled maintenance as necessary. This included the new Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring A/S tires in the spring of 2021. Earlier this year, the St Louis Car Museum would contribute a full inspection and comprehensive service in April 2024. This included brand new front & rear brake pads/rotors, renewing the brake fluid, front upper control arms along with sway bar links, engine & transmission mounts, new engine oil/filter, cabin air filter, and front/rear wiper blades. It is ready for the next owner to enjoy for many more years to come.
