First introduced to the market in December 1927, the newly redesigned Model A was soon to be one of the best-selling cars in the world! Nearly two million Model A vehicles were sold in several variations by July of 1928! A huge feat accomplished by Henry Ford, and a testament to an automobile that will remain iconic forever! The body lines were further refined for the 1930 and 1931 models making them highly desired among Ford enthusiasts today!
We are very excited to offer this custom 1931 Ford Model A Pickup that was expertly restored to resemble a first responder vehicle for a Fire Chief and was put on display in a large Chicago collection for several years. It is properly finished in Fire Engine Red with Black roof and fenders over a Black vinyl interior. The fenders and doors showcase gold stripes and decals to really make it stand out. Power is supplied by a period correct 201.5 Inline 4-cylinder engine (A4752425) and 3-speed floor-shifted transmission.
Appointments include black vinyl roof, Firestone wide whitewall tires, red wire spoke wheels with chrome hubcaps & trim rings, side-mounted spare tire, dual red emergency lamps, dual rearview mirrors, Sireno electric siren, Sparton horn, chrome grill guard, headlight visors, and rear bedside rails holding a ladder, axe, and hydrant wrench spanner. Additionally, the running boards hold a beautifully restored brass fire extinguisher and extra hose nozzle. In the bed of the pickup rests a 50-gallon water tank and auxiliary hose reel.
It is all dressed up for presentation purposes only and has also been restored with excellent rebuilt mechanicals, so its drive qualities are truly excellent! The attention to detail and the use of period accessories makes for a great show piece and parage car today! Please call with any additional questions or to schedule a chance to review it in person. Thanks for looking!
