Over the many generations of Town Car production, it came with multiple revisions and improvements with each new variant. The Third Generation of Lincoln Town Car came about in 1998 and carried through 2011 when the model was ultimately replaced by full-sized MKS sedan. These final iterations of the Town Car are without question the most superior vehicles Ford Motor Company built for luxury travel and comfort! By 2003, the Town Car chassis was more rigid with hydroformed rails and aluminum cross member, along with speed-sensitive rack and pinion steering, revised upper control arms with aluminum lowers, coil-over suspension with rear Watts linkage, improved brakes with optimized front & rear bias, and 17” fluted aluminum wheels.

In 2005, Town Cars gained electronic throttle control which improved pedal response and revised the efficiency of the cruise control and transmission. And by 2009, all Town Cars were Flex Fuel capable of utilizing E85 at the pump as well as having an improved dual exhaust system as standard equipment for optimized horsepower and torque! It would make for a dynamically better sedan with superior road manners and drivability! Today, these final production Lincoln Town Cars represent the last of the luxury brand's ultimate road-going, rear wheel drive sedans.
