The Most Unique Custom Rolls Royce We Have Ever Seeen!

Posted: Jun 01 2022

"It's Rolls Royce One. Rolls Royce, one of a kind, no sisters, no brothers!"

This is how Harold Wesley, the original owner and creator from Canada, was known to introduce his outrageously customized classic to anyone who was in awe of his creation.

In an interview with the Guelph Mercury Tribune, before his passing in 2011, Harold shared that the build of this one-of-a-kind 1954 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith all began when his wife mentioned that she wanted a "little alteration in the back to get away from the typical."

Looking at the end result, it's safe to say that the creative couple succeeded!

Harold ended up with an outstanding 24-foot-long luxury classic that could not be overlooked after lengthening the 1954 Silver Wraith 7 feet, and he didn't stop there! If you haven't noticed already, this one-of-a-kind beauty is OVERFLOWING with chrome! Wesley went on to say in his interview that he added $4,000 worth of hand-fabricated chrome to the body each year, as well as additional lighting, air horns, unique taillights, and grills. This custom Rolls Royce has nearly $53,000 worth of sparkling detail sure to make it stand out even on a cloudy day!

This blinged-out Rolls Royce wouldn't be purchased by us at the St. Louis Car Museum until 2020, after which the classic was given a partial restoration that included the refinishing of its original paint and the reupholstering of its tan leather interior. This gem now has a brilliant black finish, which our experts thought would highlight its thousands of dollars worth of chrome even more than before!

Of all of the beautiful classic cars on display at our museum, this one-of-a-kind ride has stunned our guests the most! Many find this luxury "land yacht," to be extraordinary while others, well... can't seem to wrap their heads around its over the top and peculiar customizations. After a year of being the talk of our showroom, it was hardly a surprise when we received an offer for the Custom Rolls Royce from a collector in Minnesota. This only goes to show that while one man's custom car dream may not be for everyone, there will always be enthusiasts who want to collect the unique, challenge the traditional, and stand out!
